AutoLock/Unlock Car On Ignition

I re-programmed the car so that when the ignition key is turned to the "On" position, the car automatically locks itself, and when it is turned back to the "Lock" position, it automatically unlocks all doors/boot. To do this you need to follow these steps:

1. Sit in the car with your all doors closed
2. Lock then unlock the car with your remote key
3. Put the key in the ignition (dont turn) for 6 seconds
4. Turn to "On" and then back to "Acc" 4 times
5. Turn back to "On" and leave it there
6. The red status LED (this is about 6 inches beneath the security (immobilizer) light) should now be on
7. Open and close the drivers door 5 times
8. Turn the key to the "Lock" position
9. Wait until the status LED turns itself off (can take up to 30 seconds)
10. Open and close the drivers door once
11. Turn the key to "On" and then back to "Lock"

The car will now be enabled for auto-lock. To test, take out the key put it back into the ignition and turn the key to the "Acc" position. You should now hear the car's central locking system automatically locking the doors. If you now return the key back to the "Lock" position, the doors should now automatically unlock.

I have noticed however that if you try this more than once, the auto-lock/unlock will not occur. The key needs to be taken out of the ignition completely and re-inserted for this to happen again.
Please note however, that it took me several attempts go get this to work. It appears the programming mechanism is very sensitive with regards to timings (both for the turning of the key, and opening/closing of the door) so if it does not work, then keep trying, altering your timing intervals. I found a brisk key turn and door open/close eventually worked for me. (Eg. open/close of door 5 times took about 3 seconds.)

Other instructions that I have come across that also do this procedure is as follows (note, I have not tried this method personally, but I have heard that this also works) :

1. Disconnect & reconnect neg lead of battery
2. Insert and remove key from the ignition and press unlock button on remote - Flashers will flash twice
3. Open & close Boot & bonnet completly
4. Make sure all doors are closed
5. Insert key to ignition and wait more than 5 secs
6. Turn ignition off & on 5 times (between "ACC" and "ON") leaving key to "ON" at the last turn - Alarm led will illuminate for 30 secs
7. While LED isilluminated open & close drivers door 5 times
8. Turn ignition off - LED will illuminate for 30 secs and indicators will flash 5 times
9. While LED is illuminated - Open & Close drivers door once
10 Turn igntion off-on-off (last position Off)
11. Indicators will flash once & LED will go out

To turn off this feature, follow the above but at step 9, open and close the drivers door twice. (indicatiors will flash twice in step 11)
